January 1939　Mr. Hideji Otsuka established　otsuka manufacturing co., ltd. at 1-14 Takanawa, Minato-ku, and Tokyo.
March 1941　Company was dissolved due to war.
1948　Company was reestablished at 1-4 Koyama, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo
1957　Company developed Otsuka illuminated magnifier.
1958　Company obtained a patent.
1970　Company was reorganized as　otsuka manufacturing co., ltd.
1974　Company introduced NC machine tools to automate turning process.
1979　Company obtained a patent for table lamp with magnifier.
1980　Company released Rectangular Series of magnifiers.
1989　Company was approved as an excellent medium company by Government of Shinagawa-ku
1989　Company got a patent for a new product.
November 1990　Company increased its capital to 10,000,000 yen.
December 1991　Company moved its head office temporarily to Senzokuike, Ota-ku, for construction of new head office building.Meguro Plant in Shimomeguro, Meguro-ku was built.
April　1992　Company increased its capital to 20,000,000 yen.
June　1992　construction of new head office building was started.
July　1993　New head office building was completed.
July　1993　Company was renamed as Otsuka Optics Co., Ltd.
September 1995　Company entered the Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
September 1996　JET certification mark was obtained.
October 1997　a show room in Osaka opened.
July 1998　Company applied for registration of design of O-Light III table lamp with magnifier.
May 2001　Company obtained international patent in Taiwan.
February 2003　Company changed its directors. It Designated Taito Otsuka as CEO.
April 2003　Company increased its capital to 28,500,000 yen.
January 2006　Company opened a show room in Nagoya.
January 2007　Company introduced LED surface flaw inspection lamp “BARLIGHT II” and long-focus LED-illuminated magnifier “O-SCOPE”.
December 2008　Company released “LSK Wide” Series LED-illuminated magnifiers.
February 2010 Released the LED BORELOUPE, a loupe for inner inspection of holes and grooves

January 2013 Released the LED illuminated magnifier “SKKL Series”
January 2015 Released the LED illuminated magnifier “LUXO Series”
November 2016 Released the OLED inspection light “MODELIGHT Series”
