The LZ-1 is an auxiliary light source device for visual inspection with dimming (brightness adjustment function) and color modulation (warm and cold light modulation) functions.

Various illumination levels are required for inspections using transparent illumination, from surface inspections inside through-holes in thick workpieces to pinhole inspections of film-like workpieces. In the case of transparent illumination inspections that use direct light from a light source, the quality of light (illumination level and color temperature) plays a significant role in eye fatigue.

The dimming/color control LED light box LZ-1 is equipped with a light intensity adjustment function as standard equipment to harmonize the ambient brightness with the illuminance of the inspection illumination, and is also equipped with two LEDs: a Warm and White LED that reduces the blue light range (380-500 nm) contained in light rays by approximately 25% and a Cool White LED that reduces the blue light range (380-500 nm) by approximately 25%. The brightness and color tone of the illumination can be adjusted by controlling them with independent switches.

The brightness and color of the illumination can be changed according to various inspection conditions, such as the surface gloss and shape of the object to be observed.
